I’ve always had an obsession with telling stories through sound. My journey as a sonic artist started with musical composition and performance, from which foundation I’ve built fluency in other acoustic languages - in particular, sound editing and mixing for nonfiction programming. Having honed these skills in a myriad of positions — from scoring to sound editing to foley to mix tech support— I have developed a strong foundation in narrative audio and journalism-focused media.

My first glance “behind the curtain” of documentary filmmaking was as an intern working at a studio which focused on unscripted content. As a lifelong lover of documentaries, I was thrilled to learn my first assignment was to serve as assistant editor on a feature documentary. This experience was transformative; I quickly realized that the documentary medium affords editors a singular opportunity to use sound to drive meaningful creative and real-life impact. Working closely with the filmmaking team, I learned how to push the creative and technical envelope to evoke emotion while faithfully representing real-life stories - bringing them to life in full auditory color. I fell in love and never looked back.

Since then, I have had the pleasure of collaborating with incredible documentary filmmakers, from serving as Scoring Mixer for the Academy Award-nominated film Sugarcane (2025 Best Documentary Feature, nominee; 2025 Peabody Award, nominee) to working as a freelancer for The New Yorker, editing and mixing short documentary films such as Love to the Max and Hold the Line. As a sound editor who is passionate about social justice and raising awareness, knowing that my work contributes to a greater cause has been truly fulfilling.
